I painted it with the cold wax and oil paint..you got me really interested in trying that at Colony and for that I thank you!(Now maybe I will use some of the old oil paints I have accumulated over the years) I love the feel of the waxy oil paint and using the knife again. It is fun to try new things for sure. I love symbolism especially if I can incorporate an animal in it! Glad you can relate to it! Hope you are having a great summer! :)Cathy Hegmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09012383413652142612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7507232291477332174.post-9656766203976536832009-07-05T19:50:36.215-07:002009-07-05T19:50:36.215-07:00An intriguing painting beautifully done. I'm sure it will appeal to many, thereby satisfying the need for sales potential ;)Karen Jacobshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01316270072956883280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7507232291477332174.post-77278353184169259312009-07-02T11:21:20.104-07:002009-07-02T11:21:20.104-07:00You are so right about the painting what you want ...You are so right about the painting what you want and feel as opposed to what you think will sell etc. There is a feeling of true artistic freedom when you do it though. Now, about Rocko's visionary abilities, he can see quite well to the food bowl every morning and for him that is quite enough! Thank you for the nice comments! This is another good painting though, very nice in the color and use of symbols. It's tough to paint what you want as opposed to what will most likely sell.Thomas Hegmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16864653636376122717noreply@blogger.com
